Field Geologist

Human Geographer/Regional Analyst

Human Geographer/Regional Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert on issues related to human geography, socio-cultural analysis, and geospatial analysis in support of Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) missions. GIS Specialist
Colorado State University - Fort Leonard Wood, MO
This position is a GIS Specialist located at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, on the edge of the Ozark Plateau. The position is part of a CSU team that supports environmental compliance (NEPA and Clean Water programs), natural resources and cultural resources management at the base. The position is the primary GIS expert within the Environmental Division, and performs a wide variety of technical tasks using GIS (ArcGIS), performs occasional field work and instructs staff in data collection, manages and maintains field data collection hardware and software systems (e.g., iPads), develops and updates GIS data layers for the Division, and creates and maintains metadata to Army standards (SDSFIE and FGDC). This position is technical in nature but also requires excellent communication and coordination skills.
