Intergovernmental Internship Cooperative - Bureau of Land Management Opportunities
For the 2017 season the IIC is currently recruiting for internships at BLM locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah
The Intergovernmental Internship Cooperative (IIC) at Southern Utah University is proud to again be partnering with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to provide Direct Hire internship opportunities through the Resource Assistant Direct Hire program. These 11 week rigorous Internships are designed to provided an in depth challenging experience that immerse the intern in career skills needed to succeed as a land manager. Interns will receive advanced level career training, experience, projects, and deliverable. Upon successful internship completion and college graduation, the intern is awarded a hiring authority certificate for non competitive placement into a permanent career position with the BLM. These certificate become active once the intern graduates from a 4-year degree program and are valid for use in career placement for up to two years. Recent college graduates may use these certificates beginning immediately after completion of the internship. The BLM Resource Assistant Direct Hire internships are offered by the BLM as "an opportunity to bring new and diverse viewpoints to the Bureau while working on specific projects targeted for attracting, recruiting, and filling mission critical and hard-to-fill occupations."

Environmental Scientist

Coneco Engineers & Scientists is accepting applications for an entry level Environmental Scientists. Job responsibilities include performing ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments & Phase II Investigations; conducting sampling activities; overseeing field work; preparing and implementing health and safety plans; data compilation, analysis, and visualization; preparing technical and regulatory reports; using ArcGIS and AutoCAD to draft plans, and provide emergency response services.

Geologist
State of Michigan - Lansing, MI
The State of Michigan is currently hiring for various geologist positions. Geologists will plan and conduct soil, groundwater, and soil vapor investigations at sites of contamination with the assistance of Geological Technicians. Geologists will also interpret the site investigation results and create a report identifying the soil lithology, hydrogeological characteristics, and the delineation of soil and groundwater contamination.

Geospatial Analyst, Junior
